Hello, everyone, and welcome to a new episode of "New NoiZe". I'm your host, Atlas Castle, and I'm thrilled to have you here with me today on Massive Radio. As you already know, I'm here to take you on a journey through some of my all-time favorite albums, from start to finish.
In this week's episode, I have a special treat for you – an album by the talented Italian producer and my good friend, Deega.
Deega is the brainchild of Nicolò Di Gabriele, a musician who initially embarked on his musical journey as a guitarist in local rock bands. His early influences were deeply rooted in punk-rock and grunge. However, in 2017, Nicolò took a bold step into the realm of electronic music, crafting his initial works within the creative confines of Ableton Live.
Deega’s early tracks fell within the realm of minimal techno, characterized by repetitive vocal loops and hypnotic atmospheres that draw you in.
As Raphaëlle Giordano wisely said, "Second Life begins when you realize you only have one." Deega’s album: ‘Is this You Again?’ embodies that very concept – it's a sonic odyssey through the phases of personal transformation.
It all starts when life's challenges begin to surround you, and those whispered voices inside your mind start to scream. You may not even be aware that it's happening, but you're approaching a threshold, a higher level of consciousness. It's a moment of philosophical metamorphosis, where you choose to live a better life because, well, you only have one.
The album kicks off with chaos, noise, and disorder, but fear not, for as you journey through its tracks, you'll find moments of stillness, calm, and serenity. The final track, aptly named "Intro," acts as a gateway, guiding you into your "second life."
So, fasten your seatbelts, my dear listeners, as we embark on this incredible sonic voyage together.
In the meantime, stay tuned because next week, I'll be sharing another exceptional album with you. Until then, let's dive into ‘Is This You Again?’ From Deega right here on Massive Radio!
